Project: Productization Explainer Series

Client: Industrial Scientific
My Roles: Concept. Creative collaboration, Graphic Design, Voice Over Artist, Animation

Project Details: Our team needed to create a scalable model to tell the stories of our various solutions. I chose the format of scenario, hero product, and key takeaways. I used motion to guide the story from problem to solution.

Videos: The video below is a short summary I put together highlighting the work. Each video is approx. 1:40 in length. If you would like to see each video at length, here are links to 3 of the full-length videos with voice over and sound included:

Inspiration: Choose-your-own-adventure books. As a father of two young children, I understand the power of a simple story using various scenarios and demonstrating outcomes.

Process: Earlier in the year, I understood that we might need a better way to tell our story. Accordingly, I had developed some concept frames in a comic book style to simply tell a story and highlight the value of our core company offerings. These sat in a folder for over 9 months.

While these were never used, they served as a great source of inspiration for this large project.

Productization - Four Stages

Often in projects, I will use the whiteboard for the conceptual stage. This allows for ample physical space to do word mapping exercises and draw rough impromptu sketches. During this time I will challenge myself to come up with 10+ ideas to explore various approaches. Usually, the end result is a combination of a few.
